Daylight saving time!

It's finally going to be light when I get up in the morning. I spent the day sewing some holiday aprons. I have to finish the one made from the corn fabric. I just love the print of the yellow corns on the cobs including the husks. The Christmas print is cute too. I made an apron to put the basket for my school's silent auction. I will find out tomorrow how much it sold for. I will post some pictures later, time for dinner.

Saturday

Wow, what a beautiful southern California day. I have not had the urge to write in months. Well today the boys are off to the Cal vs. UCLA game, my house is clean and I will spend the day sewing. First, I will head to one of my favorite yarn shops, unwind, in Burbank. I NEED some size 17 plastic needles by Daisy, they are my favorite. Light and easy to use. I will load up some pictures later of my new designs for small useful bags later. Check out the unwind web site www.unwindyarn.com

Almost Summer for Me

Well summer school is almost over, one more day. Then I will get to finish cleaning the sewing room and get to crafting.

I have been so busy with summer school,

I have hardly been to the sewing machine.

What a day!

What a great day for sewing. Just finished cleaning the house and we also cleaned the boys' closet. What a task that was. We ended up with several large bags of give away clothes, shoes and cleats. I am glad someone else will get to use them.

So now I am of to sew. (Especially since the NASCAR race is starting)

Post 4th

Well, we had a great time yesterday. It ended up being a full fledged party. We had 20 people over for the carne asada fest that included roasted eggplant, turkey burgers, fresh fruit, and a huge chocolate birthday cake for my brother-in-law. We all had a great time and enjoyed the fireworks we could see from Hansen Dam.

Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th to all. We are getting ready for a bbq with some friends. I especially like that we can see the fireworks from Hansen Dam . A nice traditional carne asada meal will be served, with all the fixins' including a cactus salad.

Wow! Two posts in one day

I forgot to post the 1 inch squares for the swap I just sent out. Here they are, they were fun to do. The toughest part was deciding which fabric to use. I hope the person who gets them, loves them.

Last day of school

Today was the last day for my students. It was a great day, they played board games and not a single one had an argument. We did an end of the year memory book and everything. I am glad I will have more time to sew. I have some new totes. I have been busy at night with them. (in between doing report cards). Have lots more cut out too!!

New items

What a beautiful weekend. There are many new tote bags I have been working on this past week. I will post them later today. Not a lot going on this weekend. Just the usual laundry, cleaning and such. New totes later today too. My son loves llamas, hence the llama picture.

Happy long weekend

Here I am doing some sewing today. Finally, its been really busy, with baseball and spring football, everyone has been so busy. I will posting new items on my etsy site later this weekend. New totes and such. We are going to a crawdad feast later today. Never had a crawdad, I'll see how it goes.

Happy 5 de Mayo!!

Tomorrow will be a super extra special day. It's my sons' birthday and it is cinco de mayo.
Cinco de mayo commemorates the victory of Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguin over the French occupational forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.
It's a common misconception that this day is Mexican Independence day, which actually is the 16 of September.

We will be celebrating by eating good food and having some cake. Oh also I will be posting some new items in my etsy shop this weekend. I have been so busy, last weekend I was not even home for a single hour. Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!

New Wallets for April

I had a chance to finish some new wallets. Ill be posting them to esty this week. I also was working on some other wallets as well. Bought some new fabric too. Worked on some eyeglass, ipod, or whatever small bags. I use mine inside my hard eyeglass case for extra protection.
