Weight Loss...

I decided a few weeks ago that I had had enough of being unhealthy and very overweight. I joined Weight Watchers on April 27 and today at weigh in I am proud to say that I have lost a total of 13.2 pounds. I have to say that I have not had any stomach problems for the last 4 weeks and my clothes are beginning to feel loose. I even feel like sewing again.... Updates on this journey will follow...

Weather?

Last week it was 105 and now today we are having thunder storms. Loud ones!! I am waiting for baseball to be decided...

Back in the swing of things...

Well, its been a long time.... I am starting to get back into the swing of things. Baseball is winding down, well at least the regular season, Lacrosse is over and my son got the coaches award. I was so proud. So I will get back into sewing again. Posting new pictures of some new goodies soon.

I have finally finished my chores for our table at a fund raiser for my son's school. I made 29 goodies bags, ones used to give away as a party favor with miscellaneous stuff inside. 15 napkins, 29 place mats in two different colors, and 4 table clothes as well. It should be a great lunch.

Daylight saving time!

It's finally going to be light when I get up in the morning. I spent the day sewing some holiday aprons. I have to finish the one made from the corn fabric. I just love the print of the yellow corns on the cobs including the husks. The Christmas print is cute too. I made an apron to put the basket for my school's silent auction. I will find out tomorrow how much it sold for. I will post some pictures later, time for dinner.

Saturday

Wow, what a beautiful southern California day. I have not had the urge to write in months. Well today the boys are off to the Cal vs. UCLA game, my house is clean and I will spend the day sewing. First, I will head to one of my favorite yarn shops, unwind, in Burbank. I NEED some size 17 plastic needles by Daisy, they are my favorite. Light and easy to use.
