More new clothes for the dolls....

I just uploaded some sets of clothes to my etsy site.....check them out, I had so much fun making them,  I hope they find a good home to go to.

I have to go back to my day job tomorrow..... One that I love, teaching kinder.  I have been busy sewing ( my other favorite thing to do) doll clothes.  Here are some of the recent offerings, soon to be posted to my empty etsy shop.

Another vacation day...

Today, Tuesday of the last week of my winter break....Is a day for running errands. I will send out the thank you cards to all of my students that graciously gave me a Christmas gift. I included a picture of all the cuties that I took the day of the winter performance, they were so cute in their fancy clothes and hats. I have to get a new band for the vacuum. My cleaning lady was unable to use the vacuum yesterday, so I will do it later today. I have to go to Trader Joe's for some food supplies....I went back to Weight Watchers, I have to get rid of the 10 pounds I gained since last summer. I can't believe I worked so hard over the last 3 years to lose 100 pounds to let 10 creep back up. I have done well the last 2 days. I will forge on. I think I will stop by Joann's, I need a piece of denim to make some jeans to go with the doll clothes I am working on. Dinner....some baked chicken, with rice and vegetables. Alas, the laundry is calling. How does all this get done when I am at work?? Plus I have to get my son to mow the lawn....

Vacation is nice.....

I love being off for 3 weeks at Christmas time. I can get so many things accomplished. I love teaching those little kids,it's very busy the entire day and then when I get home, it's on to the mom job. I have been able to work in the sewing room for the last few weeks. These are some items I made for my niece and nephews. They live in Virginia and it is much colder there then in California. I am getting ready to ship the box soon. I hope they enjoy their new goodies.

Kindergarten

Working kinder is loads of fun. I love it, however it requires loads of energy. I haven't read a book or been in the sewing room since school started. Looking forward to my week of "forced" days off so I can sew something and read a new book. Any suggested reading??

Ears....

I have been busy making ears. Ears one can wear for fun. I got the idea from some I purchased at a theme park. I figured since I will be teaching kindergarten, this school year, I would use them as needed. So, there are bear ears, cat ears, mouse ears, and miscellaneous ears. My friend,Tracy, who owns The Fairytale Fantasy, a princess party boutique, even wants them for her Halloween collection. I'd better get busy....only 3 more weeks before school starts. New bag.....

One of the main reasons I love summer is because I only teach in the morning. I get to come home early and finish all the household chores. I also get to spend time in the sewing room. It's just about my favorite place in the house, closely coming in second to the kitchen. My favorite place in the house. I finished another tote/bag today. Here it is for all to see.
Later we are getting ready for a big 24-person dinner we are cooking for. We are barbecuing 5 whole, untrimmed tri-tip roasts along with 5 whole chickens. They are marinating as I type. I will post pictures after the cooking starts.
